Book review: Mindless eating

I just finished this book and let me tell you, it was eye opening.

In Mindless Eating, Brian Wansink basically shares his findings of the tons of research he has done in the past years.

Here are some findings he's shared with us in his book:
  • "We eat the volume we want, not the calories we want".
  • "Out of sight, out of mind. If the candy dish is on your desk, you will eat it".
  • If you're an only child or the oldest child, you will probably save the best for last. If you aren't, you will eat the best thing on your plate first.
  • If you'll eat 100-200 calories less a day, you will lose 30 pounds in a year.
I found it a very interesting read and it was certainly helpful to when it comes to eating healthier and feeling healthier, because come one, what it 200 calories a day less! You won't feel deprived or hungry but you will lose 30 pounds (!!!). Amazing.

Have you read Mindless Eating? Will you?
